I use common words and everyday thing things like colors, animals, describing adjectives, nouns, scientific expressions, gods, numbers etc. to make good project names
I combine these words into new creative combinations. The new and surprising combination of words often make significant, remarkable and catchy project names.
Often it's not the words themselves, but rather the combination of them that make the perfect, easy to remember and cool code name for your project.
Alternative methods
Alternative methods is to use anagrams, initials of the team members, other different combinations of letters or numbers that may have hidden meanings or hints to what the project is dealing with. Or you can use combinations of all the above.
